主人公は「観測者」として街の片隅に住む青年レン。彼は日々、人々の営みや街の出来事を記録する中で、ある奇妙なことに気づく。それは、彼が記録した「観測結果」が、少しずつ現実を変えていくという事実だった。

The society was sharply divided into two groups: the “Actors” who took actions to shape the city’s affairs, and the “Observers” who recorded everything without interference.

The principle governing this world was simple: the records made by Observers would subtly shape the destiny of the city. While the Observers refrained from direct intervention, their documentation altered the “field”—the underlying fabric of reality—and molded the future.

The protagonist of this story is a young Observer named Ren, who lives in a corner of the city. As he goes about his daily task of recording the lives of others, Ren discovers something extraordinary: his observations begin to change the reality around him.

Chapter 1: The Shifting Field

In Ren’s city, the Actor class, which included the leadership, enacted policies claiming to benefit the citizens. Yet, many of these policies were irrational and only served to burden the population. Similarly, when he documented a neighbor’s small act of kindness, that neighbor experienced a streak of good fortune shortly afterward.

This revelation shook Ren’s worldview. The principle that Observers must “record without interference” no longer seemed absolute. His observations were altering the field and influencing the city’s reality, even without direct action.
